Pondok Cabe Golf Pamulang
I had a chance to do the makeup and hairdo for an indoor party at Pondok Cabe Golf Pamulang. It’s my first time travelling to Pamulang, a 45 minutes drive from BSD Serpong. Pondok Cabe Golf is spacious, but the building is not as clean as the golf course.
Photo Hunting
I was asked by my friend to do the makeup for a group of models in the photo hunting session. The session took place in Thamrin City and involved lots of people. 16 models, more than 50 photographers, and 4 makeup artists. It’s quite a challenge for us, the makeup artists, as we must perform 4 different concepts for the photoshoot, a glamour, casual, Japanese style, and Batik style.
The session running from 11AM to 5PM, and only taking 2 break times. So you can imagine how the situation was like. However, even it was an exhausting day for us and the rest of the team, we all gained valuable experience of time management, teamwork, and definitely four different makeup concept in 1 day really an unforgettable experience.
Prewedding at Pulau Bidadari
Pulau Bidadari is actually familiar to my ears. It was around my elementary school era when the name Pulau Bidadari became famous. So when the bride asked me to have their prewedding session in Pulau Bidadari, I simply say “ok, I’ll book my date for you guys...” hihihi...I’m very excited.
The trip was quite long though, starting from Ancol in the morning and took a 30-passengers boat to the island. It was the third round trip for the boat carrying prewedding groups (photographers and the make up artists). We began the session at around 11AM, starting from retouching the bride, putting up acessories, and, of course, giving a morale boost to the bride and groom for their mid-day photo-session, it was hot I know, the sun was right above us. Eventually, the session went very well, the bride and the groom was having a great time, the photographer was also using their time effectively in several interesting places and a great lunch of seafood really colored my prewedding trip this time. Oh one more thing, they’ve got a fortress of Indonesia’s colonial age. It was huge, but not well maintained though.
All and all, we finished the session at 6 PM, taking the same boat to get us back to Ancol. We’re all having fun and I personally looking forward to other beautiful island in surrounding Jakarta. Wait for my next prewedding story!
